20 mins
Easy
2 Servings
A really simple side here as an alternative to a simple feta cheese is baking it in the oven with honey and sesame seeds or pine nuts. Feta is lower in fat than many cheeses and high in protein and calcium, but also as its fermented contains bacteria that are beneficial for gut health.

About This Recipe
A really simple side here is an alternative to a simple feta cheese is baking it in the oven with honey and sesame seeds or pine nuts. Feta is lower in fat than many cheeses and high in protein and calcium, but also as its fermented contains bacteria that are beneficial for gut health.
One of the fats included in it is conjugated linoleic acid which some studies show is good for helping with weight loss. We’ve used a local honey here. Unpasteurised so it contains all its beneficial enzymes. You don’t want to wreck those by heating it too high, so we add this just for the last few minutes to warm through.
